Help maintain and improve Bute Park’s habitats. Join the Rangers and other Friends Members on the Bute Park’s work programme.
Details:
– Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
– Meet at 10.30 at the ping pong table in front of the Bute Park Visitor Centre.
– Finish approx. 12.30.
– Park Rangers provide any equipment needed.
– Volunteers to wear appropriate clothing (waterproof coat, long trousers and long sleeves, sun hat and sun screen) and footwear (walking boots or wellies).

- Saturday 12 April
- Friday 23rd May – early-summer insect survey
- Saturday 14th June – Woodland wildflower survey
- Friday 11th July – mid-summer insect survey
- Saturday 23rd August – Grassland wildflower survey
The aim of the surveys is to keep an eye on impact to flowers and insects in the park as conservation intervention is done. With the hopes that they can be carried out each year.
- Friday 5th September (TBC) walk and talk with Rangers and Volunteers around the park to discuss ideas and plan jobs for sessions October onwards.
