Grey squirrels are omnivores. They eat almost anything: nuts, seeds, buds, fungi, fruit, eggs and bird food from feeders. They will even strip and eat bark off trees. They really like sycamore but sometimes their bark stripping can kill the tree.
Grey squirrels are extremely agile acrobats and use their tail to help cling on to branches and to balance.
