{"id":11013,"date":"2024-04-11T14:10:35","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T14:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bute-park.com\/?post_type=major_events&#038;p=11013"},"modified":"2024-04-11T14:10:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T14:10:39","slug":"the-annual-general-meeting-of-new-friends-of-bute-park-2","status":"publish","type":"major_events","link":"https:\/\/bute-park.com\/cy\/major_event\/the-annual-general-meeting-of-new-friends-of-bute-park-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Annual General Meeting of New Friends of Bute Park"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Another year, another AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone \u2013 New Friends member or not &#8211; is welcome to come along to hear what the group has been up to and to share their ideas for what they would like to happen to, and in, Bute Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to get involved through joining or volunteering that would be great; if you want to become better informed or just share your thoughts, that\u2019s great too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New Friends of Bute Park is an independent, grassroots organisation which seeks to combine enjoyable social times with lending as much support as possible to the local authority-managed Bute Park and enabling local residents and visitors to be involved in what happens to this iconic park.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"241\" height=\"241\" src=\"https:\/\/bute-park.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-13.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11014\" style=\"width:241px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bute-park.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-13.png 241w, https:\/\/bute-park.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-13-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Some of the things the New Friends of Bute Park is involved in include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bio-diversity, conservation sessions and gardening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public events, activities, displays and education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accessibility for everyone, including socially-excluded groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Running the Bute Park Visitor Centre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sports, play and charity-support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Getting the voice of the public and park users heard and listened to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting is from <strong>10.30 to 12.00 on Saturday 18 May 2024 at the Visitor Centre in Bute Park<\/strong>. The committee members will be there to welcome you and you can contact us on <a href=\"mailto:admin@newfriendsofbutepark.co.uk\">admin@newfriendsofbutepark.co.uk<\/a> to ask any questions, to let us know you would like to join us, or even to raise issues if you will not be able to be there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Another year, another AGM.
