10,000 visitors have explored the twisted tunnels and tangled tentacles of giant art installation
TAPE this summer including some very special visitors – the city’s very own Spidermen!
Hundreds rolls of tape were used to construct the web-like structure which was spun between
12 trees on the banks of the River Taff in Bute Park.
The structure was brought to the city by arts organisation Migrations as part of RSPB Cymru’s
flagship Giving Nature A Home in Cardiff project in partnership with City of Cardiff Council and
was built and run using the effort and enthusiasm of volunteers who generously gave up 700
hours of their time.
It is now being unwrapped and recycled into wildflower planters which will be given away free to
primary schools and community groups across Cardiff so it can continue giving nature a home in
the future. Watch out for details of how you could win one!
