Showcase Event Volunteer – Giving Nature a Home in Cardiff

Giving Nature a Home in Cardiff is an exciting new pilot project delivered by RSPB Cymru in partnership with the City of Cardiff Council. The project aims to engage thousands of children and their families with wildlife; encouraging them to connect with the nature on their doorstep and take action to support it.

To encourage thousands more children outdoors this summer and showcase Cardiff’s fantastic Bute Park we’re bringing TAPE to town! Delivered in partnership with arts company, Migrations, TAPE is a giant web-like structure woven between the trees in Bute Park for people to climb inside for a truly unique experience in the trees.

Open everyday from 1 to 31 August 2015 we need your help to make TAPE an unforgettable experience for all. We need your help to engage and excite visitors to TAPE; look after them as they experience the structure; engage them with nature-themed activities and help us find out a bit more about them, by asking some basic evaluation questions.

Interactive Art Installation Volunteer – Giving Nature a Home in Cardiff

Linked to the above, we need your help to physically make TAPE. The build will take place over 11 consecutive days and be led by the international artist responsible for the design of TAPE. The giant structure, made of sticky tape, will be suspended between trees in Bute Park. Working with the artist and other installation volunteers we need your help to ensure the structure is built according to plan and within the given timescale, to help us create something amazing for thousands of visitors to enjoy.
