Bute Park has been voted 7th out of 1,482 parks and green spaces in a UK-wide annual poll of the general public! Thank you to everyone who voted for Bute Park!

In the vote, organised by the Green Flag Award scheme, which awards Green Flag status to the best open spaces in the country, parks were competing to be crowned the nation’s favourite, with a record breaking 35,000 votes cast across the UK.

Councillor Bob Derbyshire, Cabinet Member for Environment, said:“To finish in seventh position in a national poll of over 1400 parks, nationwide, is a fantastic result for Cardiff. This result confirms that Bute Park is an outstanding attraction for both residents and visitors alike and is testimony to the hard work of staff whose efforts continue to win accolades.”
