Bute Park offers a number of volunteering opportunities.

Front of House Volunteers at the Education Centre greet individuals and groups, provide visitors with assistance and information about Bute Park & Arboretum, help to publicise events and assist with the day to day running of the centre.  

Educational Event Volunteers assist the Education Officer with educational visits and family events at the Education Centre and in the park. Activities include mini beast hunts, orienteering and outdoor learning.   Roles include preparing activities, assisting children and parents/carers during events, taking photographs, encouraging visitors to fill in evaluation forms, clearing up after events.

Events Walks and Talks Volunteers assist on researching and preparing walks and talks for Bute Park & Arboretum providing visitors with information about the park’s heritage and environment. Volunteers will also help collect and collate visitor feedback.

 

Welsh language skills desirable.
